Many states mistreat immigrants by denying them the most basic needs. In majority states, the immigrants are denied the right to participate in democracy. Immigrants have also been subjected to public humiliation and poor conditions of living in the country.
Philanthropists feel that the immigrants deserve better than this. They believe that any individual regardless of their race, financial status and other factors have equal rights. They fight to attain equality in the states.

Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund
The Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund has fought very many legal battles. The foundation was formed by two journalists, Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey. Lacey and Larkin are also the co-founders of ‘’The Phoenix New Times”.
Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin formed the firm with the money that they acquired as an apprehension compensation from the case of the Sherriff.
This was after the two published the evil deeds of the sheriff as their headline. This was a courageous step to make given the status of the sheriff in the society. The residents were shocked and thought the two were crazy.
The sheriff arrested the journalists and took them to an unknown location. It was through the protests of the civilians that the two were released within 24 hours.
Later, when the two presented their case in court, the judge declared them innocent, and they got a $3.75 million compensation. Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin used the money to initiate the Frontera Fund. The first beneficiaries of the project were Arizona settlers. The firm now assists the organizations that share a common goal with them around Arizona. The DACA Foundation
The DACA foundation was created to stop the deportation of immigrants who are technically members of the USA. These are individuals who joined the country at the age of 16 or lower. These individuals have significantly contributed to the good of the society.
The institution gives the members two years after the deportation date. Within the two years, the members may have completed their education or even gathered the legal documents to be legal citizens of the USA.
The organization also allows for membership renewals. This is in the case where the two years end before the member finish their mission.
The DACA members have rescued many immigrants from deportation. It currently has more than 80000 members.
